Reviews of Hotels and Guest houses

The hotel is very clean, located on the sea shore, has 4 rooms and the best cuisine in Unawatuna at their restaurant! All rooms are facing the sea, but there are some palms and bushes in front of balcony, so it gives more privacy and a bit less sea view. Though our room #1 on the 3rd floor was perfect!
There are doors in bathrom and toilett!!! Maybe a bit not that convenient, but more or less fine.
The staff in the morning reserves sunbeds and an umbrella for their guests as well as a table for the dinner.
The only thing I can point out is that a very small cake for birthday was included into our dinner's price, but it is not that matter.
Hotel recieves credit card for payment!
Wi-Fi is available only in lobby and restaurant, located on the beach.
No TV, but it is not needed.
It was very comfortable staying!

Room Tip: Rooms on the 3rd floor seems to have a better sea view than on the 2nd.

We stayed 2 nights in room 10. The rooms are simple but clean. It would have been nice to have a view but we didn't. Location is really nice, right on the beach. The staff are really wonderful and eager to help. Special thank you to Nisansala, the lovely girl at the front desk. She arranged a fantastic driver for the rest of our trip and helped us plan our itinerary and hotel bookings. We had massages at their other hotel down the street. You can use their pool if you wish.
The Sri Lankan breakfast was really good. Just make sure you order it the night before.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and could have stayed a lot longer. We had a sea facing room on the ground floor which was fantastic. The room was really comfortable but what really makes this hotel is the staff - they are always smiling and stop and speak to you they are a real credit to the hotel and make you feel welcome. We loved being on the beach sitting and listening to the waves at night. We ate at the hotel every night as the food was so good. I went for a massage one day at the sister hotel which I thought was wonderful so relaxing and whilst I had a massage my other half relaxed by the pool with a beer. I am sure we will return to this hotel one day

Room Tip: Room 1 facing the sea on ground level was amazing

This place was nice, great location. The room we had was very modern, but didn't have AC so we hardly got any sleep it was like a sauna. The food was ok. Service was good. I did find it a little pushy to try and make us stay longer when for us it was just a pitstop.

Highlight - beachfront property
Low-light - the owner
Insider tip - "Top Secret" bar/restaurant 100m away.

The Good:
Relaxed guesthouse, rooms fine.
Pool is clean and good size.
Staff around the hotel are super friendly and helpful.

The Bad:
Electricity cuts, no backup generator.

The Ugly:
We got far more bang for buck for US$60 a night in other locations around Sri Lanka, but didn't look at other hotels in Hikka, so take with a pinch of salt.

*We would return to this hotel

We stayed at The Three by TPV for 2 nights and we truly enjoyed our stay, the hotel grounds and rooms are nicely designed with a great atmosphere.

The owners make you feel like a part of the family its is like they´re living their dream and taking you along for the ride. It´s a very special place and you meet a lot of great people. The owners also have great recommendations for restaurants and things to do if you want to take a trip to Galle.

Food is good quality although the meny is not massive, however the traditional Sri Lankan curry was actually one of the best we had during our holiday, breakfast was also really good, a must try is the "hangover eggs".

Although there´s no beach next to the hotel the beautiful beach of Mirissa is only 15 min away in a tuktuk.

I would definitely recommend this place if you´re looking for a more personal experience than the big resorts, its a hidden gem.

We went for a lunch to Maya last month and it was absolutely amazing. The service was outstanding and the food was scrumptious. The grounds were lovely and we saw lots of birds , some near the waterbody . The trees in the property were also beautiful.

It's one of the best place to b and spend your honeymoon or anniversary. The hospitality is great and so are the entire team. My communication from the 1st day over mail trails was extremely smooth and totally was worth every minute of our stay.

Highly recommended...

Thanks Thaproban team... Hoping to visit soon....

It does not look much when you arrive at the hotel staring into an run down small alley but once passing that you enter the hotels restaurant and reception and a whole bunch of friendly staff working at the hotel. You get a wet towel to wipe travel dust and sweat from your skin at check in as well as a fruit drink, which I think is a very nice welcoming! The pool area is cosy and nice with a lots of plants and flowers in the surrounding garden. The hotel has both rooms and cabanas. We stayed only one night (last night before heading home) and had a deluxe room which I liked. It had a spacious balcony. Kind of small bed for European standard though. If I would come back I would have chosen any of the nite cabanas with private garden. Well functioning AC, hair dryer and refrigerator in the room. Funny bar with office chairs as bar chairs.

We spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed it. There are two pools, and the environment of the cabins is really beautiful- we saw monkeys, a monitor lizard, numerous birds and lizards in 3 days all within the hotel perimeter! The rooms are fine, not 5* but then this is not a5* hotel. The hotel supports the local dogs charity as well, plus the disabled give which is nearby by giving people jobs.
They serve pizza here, good to know if you have fussy eaters! The staff are courteous and reasonably helpful. We choose to eat out most nights, bedspace highly recommended for food.
The breakfasts are cooked as you order which is nice, coffee is fine and the fruit plate is amazing.
We took a tuktuk to nearby beaches, it's only 100 to get to Unawatuna and 250 to go to Wijaya, so we compromised beach front for pools!
Lots of kids here, they seem to attract English speaking independent travelers.
I would totally suggest this hotel to families. Couples will also got on well but remember most of the chalets face the pool where the kids spend all their time.
Will be back!

The room is quite large, well equipped and clean. Same with bathroom. Really couldn't ask more.
The staff was friendly and gave us some helpful tips.
We had also breakfasts, toast bread with butter and jam, fruit plate, omelette and tea, very good!
Actually the best accommodation we had on Sri Lanka!
