The Beach Place is a wonderful four-bedroomed beachside villa in the village of Thalpe on the Galle coast. With the turquoise Indian Ocean at your doorstep, this is an ideal holiday getaway for friends travelling together or a family with children. Unawatuna bay and the historic town of Galleareonly about 15 minutes away. The journey from Colombo’s international airport will take about four-and-a-quarter hours or consider taking the Air Taxi and fly into Koggala which is just 10 minutes away.
The Beach Place is a spacious two-storey beach villa that has been caringly designed by its Australian owners. The interiors are tastefully furnished with a mix of antiques and modern furniture as well as art from across Asia. The upper floor consists of the master suite with two bedrooms as well as a lounge and dining area overlooking the sea. The ground floor has another lounge area with an indoor swimming pool overlooking the garden, and two additional bedrooms opening out to sea views. The tropical gardens scattered with palm trees and a lotus filled pond, extends upto a terrace that has been built right over the beach. This is ideal for dining under a starlit sky with the ocean just beneath. The Beach Place is rented on a bungalow only basis and is ideal for a relaxing beach holiday or even a family celebration. The Beach Place can comfortably accommodate eight adults.
The upper floor master suite consists of a double bedroom, twin bedroom and private dining area which opens out to breathtaking sea views. The ground floor two double rooms open out to the front gardens and sea views. All rooms have a/c, overhead fans, and electronic safes and are furnished with antique four-poster beds. Ensuite bathrooms have h/w showers.
Guests can choose to have their meals where ever they please – in the garden, beach terrace or indoors. There is a fully equipped kitchen where guests can cook their own meals or have the in-house cook prepare the meals for you. Guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages. Other villa facilities include cable TV and iPod dock with Bose sound system in the upstairs lounge area, wifi internet facility on the ground floor lounge. The staff at the Beach Place consists of a manager, cook and two house boys.
