In Ella or Nuwara Eliya you will got on the train that was built by the British in the Colonial timesa and probably hasn't changed much since then. However, old though it may be it is amazing and one of the highlieghts of the trip so far. The views are amazing, zig zagging around the mountains, through tea plantations and across stunning bridges! The train is pretty basic, just went for second class tickets which for a 3 hour trip cost about a 1$. From Ella straight to a place called Nuara Ella which is Nicknamed Little England for obvious reasons, the houses look English, the street names are English and there is even an old English race cource. It is about 2000 metres above sea level and gets cold at night but the good thing about that is there are no Mosquitos much to our delight.
