Family guesthouse right on the Hikkaduwa beach. Ideally located for exploring the delights and wonders of the deep with mask, snorkel and scuba gear. If your into more adrenaline sports there is a world class surf break opposite the Blue Ocean Villa.
Villa has 8 double rooms (4 with A/C, 4 non A/C). All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with hot water.
Blue Ocean Villa hasn't restaurant, but guests can use kitchen.

Great location and rooms

Was supposed to spend 3 days in Hikkaduwa. Went to another guesthouse that was cheaper, but didn't like it so moved after one night. This place was great and I ended up staying 5 days and went straight to the airport from here.
The owner helped arrange a driver to the airport, and the driver was really friendly. Yes it was expensive, but on par with what I was quoted elsewhere.
Nice large rooms right on the beach

A spent two nights here, we found the rooms nice and spacious and located well. The host is friendly and keeps the premises clean. The only downfall was the bathroom was a bit mouldy and in need of a repaint.

La petite famille est vraiment très sympa, des gens bien, j'y retournerai avec grand plaisir.

Clean, calm and friendly guest house

Very relaxed and comfortable guest house on the beach. You can watch the surfers as you eat your toast and it's close to both the main drag and the marine park. The owner and his sister are very welcoming. The only thing ruud be that not all rooms face the beach, and service is a little slow, but really negligible factors in considering a array here
Relaxing place for peaceful rest

In my opinion this is a quite normal hotel.
We got here from Maldives and were not disappointed. We've read previous reviews and got what we expected.
The hotel's location is great, the rooms are modern enough. The only thing we were sorry about is a lack of cafes outside the hotel. The staff was very helpful and cleaned our room every day (daily change of towels, including not used ones, room service etc). Food is a bit monotonous but we were quite satisfied, we were taking two meals a day.
If you want a relaxing holiday you will get it in Blue Ocean Villa.
Right next to the Ocean...

They have nice rooms, two of them, number 1. and 2. with a look from the balcony right to the ocean, very nice! But i have to say, that the breakfast for me was to expensive 500,- Rps. and I did not even get a fruit juice. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean but somehow I missed something...

Great value and lovely owners

We enjoyed three nights at Blue Ocean Villa. The owners are lovely and give very honest advice. The room we stayed in was nice and big, had a clean bathroom with hot water and a balcony with a view of the water. The breakfast is pretty good too. It was rather inexpensive to stay there, probably one of the best value places we stayed at in Sri Lanka.
Lovely little waterfront hotel

My fiance and I had a great stay at Blue Ocean Villa. It's a cozy little place right next to the beach but it's not eroding away like many of its neighbors. Great value for the room, it was lovely and clean. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was extra but it was delicious. We enjoyed relaxing on the hammock or beach chairs in the evening to watch the beautiful sunset. Would go back in an instant!
Head straight to Blue Ocean Villa!

This was our second time staying at Blue Ocean Villa and it was just great!
We landed in Colombo early, chartered a car and headed straight for Blue Ocean Villa. The journey is a pleasant 3-4 hours by chartered car. Last time we stayed (January 2007) we just turned up and were lucky enough to get one of the lovely spacious rooms upstairs with spectacular views.
We arrived on the weekend (Saturday) this time and had not had a chance to make a booking. Unfortunately we could not get in to Blue Ocean Villa on our first night. This gave us a chance to look around at other accommodation options but we just could not find anywhere else to stay that measured up to Blue Ocean Villa - location, cleanliness, friendliness & price. Fortunately the next day we were able to secure a downstairs standard room at Blue Ocean Villa and this is when we finally felt like we were on holiday.
Picture-perfect beachfront location a few minutes walk to the surf break, spotlessly clean rooms, very welcoming and friendly staff, delicious simple breakfast and exceptionally good value for money. What more could any traveler want?
Thank you again to Siri and the family for their warm and genuine hospitality, we'll definitely be back!
